I have worked with System Administration and IT-coordination for more than
8 years.Mostly with Linux and FreeBSD, but also with HP-UX, Solaris and Windows.I have
been responsible for running some of the biggest websites in Denmark in
this time, and has set up Metropol Online's entire network incl. DNS, Mail, Firewall,
IDS, System Surveilance incl. Measurement of Uptime Percentages etc. After 3 years of good experience at Metropol Online, I went on to become a self-employed Open Source & Security (also on windows :) Consultant. This position, has allowed me to do short critical help jobs for several companies, and also to do longer lasting contract work for several companies. I have a degree in Informatics and in Advanced Computer Studies, which means that I know C++/C with emphasis on object-oriented Development.For Metropol Online's sites I have setup and administered webservers with mod_perl, mod_php and apache and apache-ssl and for databases I've mainly used Mysql and Oracle but also PostGreSQL to some extent. At Metropol Online I mainly worked with Open Source software, as I have had the best experience with this.I also have experience with Nortel and Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco VPN Concentrator and Cisco LocalDirector. In my spare time, I work out (more running than weights now a days), Play soccer and train a chinese martial arts called WingTsun and spend time with my wife and daughters. I am also passionate about programming. Besides the perl/shell scripting I do a lot of in System Administration, I have aquired quite a lot of PHP and Perl knowledge, by writing scripts that tie my accounting and shop (Linuxpusher.dk) together and I maintain a/or write a few and bugfix other peoples assorted Drupal modules, as part of running a Drupal-based hosting service, called VirkPaaNettet.dk. I have previously been a board member in SSLUG, but my time for such activities have vanished, with the purchase of a "fix-it-yourself"-house and children :). |

I, as a part of the Systemsadministrator team, was responsible for maintaining and securing the Unix platforms, incl. Mainly FreeBSD but also Linux and HP-UX hosts, HP EVA SANs, a secondary location, ipfw2 and pf firewalls and a Linux Virtual Director setup. |
